Debbie Johnson is a remarkable woman, a devoted mother of three, and a daughter of deaf parents who exemplifies resilience and love. As a parent carer to her inspiring son Trae who, despite being non-verbal and autistic, radiates potential she has embarked on a transformative journey. Trae's communication path began at the tender age of two, facing the challenges of expressing his needs, thoughts, and feelings. Like many parents, Debbie encountered struggles, navigating a system that often felt overwhelming due to long waiting lists and a lack of experienced guidance. Yet, in the face of those challenges, Debbie's determination shone brightly. Through her dedication to learning and understanding Trae’s needs, she discovered that incorporating British Sign Language (BSL) could be a game-changer. As Trae began to grasp key BSL signs, he blossomed, gaining confidence to express himself. Inspired by her own family's progress, Debbie is now on a mission to empower other families. Together, we strive to raise awareness about the incredible impact of British Sign Language. 

By embracing BSL, we have not only dismantled communication barriers but also strengthened the bond within our family. Trae can now share his feelings, express his desires, and joyously sign, "I love you." Our vision is simple yet profoundly impactful: we aim to weave BSL into the very fabric of children's lives.
